Thread: Frame profiles
Posted 26 January 2010 at 12:50:33 UK time

The profile in cross-section of my Dream top and down tubes closely resembles the ace of clubs shape used as the Colnago logo i.e. 3 No rounded bulges to the top and sides, with a flattened bottom.

However, my C50 profile is different. In cross-section they more of a cross shape i.e. four symetrical bulges with flattened top to each bulge.

I know this is bit Anoraky, but I thought it was interesting and is at least one of the reasons I choose these frames over others.

The newer frames EPS, Extreme C etc have adopted circular profiles, which though may be technically superior, they are just not as nice to my eyes.
