Hi
anyone know about these models?
were these bikes made in Italy or were they made in taiwan like the current entry level models?
Thanks in anticipation of your wisdom!

Hi there Marc in Devon

I am the proud owner of a Colnago 'Assos' and yes my bike was built in Itlay and not Taiwan. I think I am correct in saying that Colnago only started building in Taiwan last year., or was it the year before? My bike is second hand and I do 50-80 miles per wk all year round cycling to work on it. Yes criminal for such a lovely bike in the winter but have decided that I am going to buy another Colnago in the spring. The assos is Altec 2 tubing and was bought from Je James about 2/3 yrs ago. I have not seen any other like it on the web or road, but would like to know more?

Anyone have nay ideas?

Thinkuing about getting this bike respryed as the top tube has bubbled badly close to the cable router.can anyone point me in the right direction

How about a Colnago cyccle day....or we could enter a team into the Tour of Pembrokeshire?

I did the London to Canterbury stage one and only saw 2/3 Colnago's.

I have just bought a Asso frame and forks in red and white emmaculate condition and has columbus carbon forks. The frame is signed but does not have the asso marked on the frame. The top tube is underside is odd it has a large indent running along it to cut down on weight i suppose. I think that its a 2006 but just dont know and there are numbers on the right side rear drop out?? carlspudmurphy2000@yahoo.co.uk for piccys and help

Hello guys, the Asso is from 2003 and I don't know if it was made any other years.I have the catalogue from 2003 with the Asso model inside. It was definately an Italian made frame and retailed for around £700. Mine is pictured here with full Dura Ace and Colnago Star wheels.I have recently aquired a Dream Geo model, which I've always wanted.I'm waiting for a picture to be uploaded to this site. Some beautiful bikes pictured here,I particularly like the Tecnos model (pic 30).Love all Colnago's ,they are truly the Rolls Royce of bicycles, having been told this many times.
